On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, Tarique Rahman, the acting chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has extended greetings to the people of the country and Muslims around the world.

In a message of greetings, he said, "On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, I convey heartfelt greetings and Eid Mubarak to Muslims in Bangladesh and around the world. I wish endless happiness, peace, prosperity, and well-being for the global Muslim community."

He stated, "After observing rigorous fasting throughout the month, the Eid-ul-Fitr festival brings much enthusiasm and joy to the entire world. Muslims exchange greetings with each other. The day marks the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, during which Muslims observe fasting from dawn to dusk."

The greetings message added, "The joyous moment of Eid-ul-Fitr comes through the great purification of the soul during the month-long Ramadan. Eid brings us the message of joy, along with the opportunity to attain Allah's satisfaction and proximity. The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr awakens our mutual greetings and sense of brotherhood. Therefore, let us pledge from the teachings of Eid-ul-Fitr to work together for a society and country of unity, justice, equality, brotherhood, compassion, empathy, humanity, and love, free from all violence, hatred, and conflict."

Tarique Rahman said, "So that no helpless or distressed person remains excluded, let those who are capable extend their helping hand so that even the deprived can become partakers of the joy of Eid."

"On this holy day, may an endless stream of peace flow through every home in Bangladesh. On the day of Eid-ul-Fitr, this is what I wish. May Allah protect us, Long live Bangladesh," he added.
