Sheikh Hasina arrived in Bangkok on the afternoon of April 24 as part of a bilateral and multilateral visit to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, at the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin.

Upon her arrival at Don Mueang International Airport, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was welcomed with a red carpet reception, where she received a 19-gun salute and a guard of honor.

Prime Minister Hasina described this visit as part of a broader focus on her 'neighborhood' policy, stating that it presents a fantastic opportunity for both countries to renew the momentum of bilateral relations.

Sheikh Hasina expressed her firm belief that this visit would significantly advance the relationship between the two countries. During a luncheon hosted by the Thai Prime Minister, she said that the visit would provide essential inspiration for the full potential development of bilateral relations.

The Prime Minister further stated that this official visit would mark a milestone in bilateral relations, inaugurating a new era of fruitful partnership between the two countries. It is imperative to maintain this momentum of renewing relations for the mutual benefit of both peoples and countries in the future.
