BNP becoming organizationally weaker day by day: Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said that by abandoning politics for public welfare, BNP has adopted wrong strategies. As a result, BNP is becoming organizationally weaker day by day. He said these in a statement sent to the media on Monday. This statement was made in condemnation and protest against the 'politically motivated statements' of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

Quader also said, 'BNP, as a political party, is unable to add any new dimension to mass politics. Therefore, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir continues to sing the same tune in the media regularly; he constantly fabricates false and baseless stories of oppression and torture.'

The Minister of Road Transport and Bridges stated that the Awami League is in power with the mandate of the people. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the Awami League government is in a strong position. Various countries and organizations and their leaders have warmly congratulated successful state leader Sheikh Hasina on being elected Prime Minister for the fifth time and have recognized her government.

Obaidul Quader said, 'BNP leaders try to survive by always presenting false, fabricated, and politically motivated statements, and by trying to create artificial crises in politics. BNP leaders should understand that it is not the opposition party but anti-state activities that the government needs to control. Therefore, it would be better for BNP to keep their leaders and activists away from anti-state and terrorist activities.'
