The life of cattle has more value to BSF than humans: Rizvi

BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, "BSF values the life of cattle, but human lives have not value to it."

He said, "Today, Bangladesh has plunged into utter darkness. There is a sheer chaos going on in the economic and social sectors. You have witnesed the undermining of the sovereignty of Bangladesh. The people of Bangladesh are being mocked. The people of the coutrny are being shot dead like birds at the country’s border. As per reports, yesterday, three goats of Bangladesh went acroos the border of the neighbouring coutnry; the BSF called a flag meetign to return the three goats.

Rizvi said BSF values the life of goats, but there is no value for human lives. Returning three goats calling a flag meetign betweent the border forces is nothing but the greatest joke of the century. Meanwhile, on the Teknaf border firing is going on. Bangladeshi farmers can no longer work on the Bangladesh side of the border out of fear. They are are starving and suffering while our government is silent. They don't even have the courage to protest. This situation cannot continue. The people of Bangladesh will not sit idle.

Rizvi said social anarchy has reached an extreme across the country.  Chhatra League has turned universities into a festival of sexual pleasure. Its leader Sajib himself confessed to killing and chopping a young man into ten pieces in Kushtia. Not only are they attacking BNP activists, they are also killing themselves due to dispute over sharing the looted money. The country is heading towards a horrifying situation.

He added, the occupation government orchestrated the dummy election on January 7 and they assumed that the whole of Bangladesh has become their feudal property. Our fight against this feudalism will not cease. The power has to be returned to the people.

He said the movement that BNP and other like-minded parties are engaged in is not to go to power. It is a struggle to bring back democracy and return the power of the people to the people. This fight will continue.

Rizvi said this after distributing leaflets in Gulshan area on Wednesday.

On the second day of the leaflet distribution programme titled 'Save the country, save the people', under the leadership of Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, leaders of BNP and its associate organizations distributed leaflets and ran a public relations campaign from Gulshan-2, Pink City and circulaling back to Gushal-1. The leaflets demanded resignation of the government terming the resignation of the government as a 'dummy', and calling for free elections under a non-partisan government.
