Whenever the JaPa seeks to engage in politics for the people, the ruling government attempts to split it up: GM Quader

Jatiya Party (JaPa) Chairman and opposition leader Ghulam Mohammad Quader alleged that the ruling government attempts to break up the party whenever the Jatiya Party seeks to engage in politics for the people. He urged the government not to disrupt the country's political landscape, emphasising on the importance of allowing parties to engage in politics freely. He stated, "You cannot monopolise politics by splitting up everyone else."

Quader made these remarks during a gathering at Banani on Saturday, February 24, to celebrate his birthday.

The JaPa Chairman highlighted that divisions are sown among the party members whenever they strive to pursue an independent political agenda, often instigated by the government. He lamented the recent election, describing it as an example of the depths to which politics can sink.

Furthermore, he acknowledged the reality of their party being domesticated, attributing it to government infiltrations within their ranks. Despite enjoying privileges within the party, these individuals often align with government interests, undermining the party's autonomy. Whenever we make decisions, they try to fracture the party and establish new political entities. It aims to prevent us from engaging in independent politics, thus ensuring our status as a compliant tool of the government.

Quader emphasised on the need to break free from this domestication, asserting that the country and its people do not require a subservient entity. The government will consistently orchestrate alliances to undermine our strength. We must unite under the Jatiya Party to break free from this cycle. Those attempting to establish alternative parties under the Jatiya Party's umbrella must be expelled. Success in these endeavours is vital for the survival of our party. Failure to take these steps will inevitably lead to the party's demise.
