BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia suddenly fell ill on Saturday night. She was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital within 50 minutes.
BNP Vice Chairman and Khaleda Zia's physician, Dr A ZM Zahid Hossain, conveyed this information through BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan.
Dr Hossain explained that due to Khaleda Zia's sudden illness, her doctors promptly went to her residence in Gulshan at night. After assessing her condition, they decided to transfer her to the hospital for urgent tests and treatment, and she was taken there that same night.
Earlier, on the night of March 27, she had also suddenly fallen ill, prompting consideration for hospitalization. However, the decision was changed as her doctors deemed her condition stable.
It was previously announced late Saturday night that Khaleda Zia would be taken to Evercare Hospital in Bashundhara for urgent health tests and treatment.
