The Chairperson of the BNP and former Prime Minister, Begum Khaleda Zia, is currently under close observation in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the Evercare Hospital in the capital.

She was confirmed on Sunday night by the personal physician of the BNP Chairperson and the party's Vice Chairman, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain.

He stated that Begum Khaleda Zia is receiving treatment in the CCU under the close supervision of the doctors of the medical board, based on their advice. The members of the medical board are constantly monitoring her treatment.

Previously, on late Saturday night at 2:54 AM, she was admitted to the Evercare Hospital.

Her health deteriorated around midnight yesterday. Members of her medical board visited her residence in Gulshan late at night for an examination. Based on the advice of the medical board, it was decided to admit her to the hospital immediately, following which she was taken to the hospital.
