In the Sylhet-6 Constituency, a voter was forcibly taken away by local Awami League activists to vote. The voter, under duress, went to the polling station but abstained from voting. Instead, he wrote on the ballot, 'Boycott, I want the fall of Sheikh Hasina.

Sylhet-6 (Bianibazar-Gopalganj) seat will be contested by Awami League candidate and current MP Nurul Islam Nahid, independent candidate Awami League leader Sarwar Hossain, Trinamool BNP candidate Shamser Mubin Chowdhury, Islami Oikyajot Sadikur Rahman, Jatiya Party candidate Salim Uddin and Bangladesh Ataur Rahman, the candidate of the Sangskritik Muktizot.
