The Bangladesh Meteorological Department forecasts rain or thunderstorms at the later parts today.
The rain may come with strong, gusty winds in some areas, BMD said, expecting rain in several parts of the country, including Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Barishal, and Chattogram.
There's a chance of hail in a few isolated places. The weather bulletin also mentioned that the mild to moderate heat wave affecting Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, and Barishal may ease in some areas.
Elsewhere in Bangladesh, the weather is expected to be mostly dry with occasional patches of partial cloud cover. Temperatures are forecast to drop slightly during the day and night in Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions while remaining mostly unchanged in other parts of the country.
Yesterday, the highest temperature in Bangladesh was 39.7 degrees Celsius, recorded in Rajshahi. Today the lowest temperature so far was 21.2 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.
Mymensingh received the most rainfall in the last 24 hours, measuring 83 millimeters as of 6 AM this morning.
