On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Tarique Rahman, the acting chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has extended greetings to the people of Bangladesh.

“Eid Mubarak! May this Eid bring peace, joy, and harmony across the world, and provide solace to the deprived people of Bangladesh,” he wrote in his X–formerly Twitter--handle. 

Tarique reminded that Eid-ul-Azha “isn’t just a festival to celebrate," rather it’s an occasion when we should recognize our spiritual duty and "act upon the sacred values of sacrifice and compassion.”

In his X handle, the BNP leader also wrote that Eid-ul-Azha blends our “commitment to respond to the calls of Allah with our shared responsibility to support the poor,” and helps them “lead a better life through collective resources and happiness.”
