BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman calls for immediate national election
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman stated today that a national election must be held immediately and power should be transferred to the elected representatives. Speaking as the chief guest at the Nayapaltan rally, which he joined virtually from London, Tarique called for calm and unity, emphasizing the need to ensure safety for all, regardless of religion, race, or identity. "A group is attempting to destabilize the country. Let us all unite to create a Bangladesh free from discrimination. If party leaders and activists stand together, no one will be able to harm the nation," he asserted. The rally was attended by thousands of leaders and activists. Tarique warned of ongoing conspiracies aimed at undermining the country's achievements and stressed the importance of safeguarding everyone, regardless of their religious or racial identity. "We must act as a shield and set an example by ensuring the safety of all individuals, wherever they are and irrespective of their religious identity," he concluded. ___
