Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) extends its congratulations to the new government, which has emerged following the downfall of the previous autocratic regime due to an unprecedented uprising by students and the public.

With the interim government, including many young leaders, now assuming responsibilities amidst high expectations, TIB strongly urges this new administration to implement decisive and comprehensive reforms through a well-developed strategic roadmap.

This will pave the way for a well-governed "New Bangladesh" characterized by transparency, accountability, justice, and the protection of human rights. TIB offers its full support for this effort.

Additionally, TIB calls on the public and students to act as protectors of minorities, maintain communal harmony, and preserve the historical monuments and legacies of the Liberation War.

In a statement today, TIB Executive Director Dr. Iftekharuzzaman said, "Fearless students and ordinary citizens have triumphed over an unaccountable regime blinded by power and threatening the vision of a society based on human rights and non-discrimination through their unprecedented sacrifice.”

TIB congratulates everyone, especially the students, for this remarkable achievement, which reflects their indomitable spirit, said Iftekharuzzaman, adding that a significant opportunity has arisen to rebuild Bangladesh in the spirit of the Liberation War, fifty years after independence.

“We hope the new government will seize this chance. We strongly urge the creation and implementation of a strategic roadmap to reorganize the state structure of the New Bangladesh," he said.
