Zulkarnain Saer’s verified facebook account disabled again after cyberattack
The verified Facebook account of Zulkarnain Saer, an investigative journalist with Al Jazeera’s I-Unit, has once again come under cyberattack.
Around noon on Sunday, Saer’s Facebook profile–followed by approximately 1.2 million users–was suddenly disabled. It remains unclear who or which group is responsible for the breach.
Saer said that this is the fifth time his account has been targeted by hackers.
The previous attack occurred on October 21, when his account was disabled for several hours before being successfully restored after six hours of technical recovery efforts.
He added that attempts are currently underway to reactivate the account following the latest incident.
