Rosatom to host global atomic quiz on November 10 to mark World Science Day

Russia’s State Atomic Energy Corporation, Rosatom, will host the Global Atomic Quiz on Monday, November 10, to celebrate World Science Day.

Now in its fifth year, the annual quiz aims to make nuclear science more accessible and engaging for participants worldwide. This year’s edition will be conducted online in 16 languages, including Bangla, alongside a series of offline competitions in several countries.

The main offline event will take place in Moscow, where university students will compete in a live quiz. In Bangladesh, offline sessions will be held at the Information Centre on Nuclear Energy (ICONE) at Novo Theatre, Dhaka, and the Public Information Centre on Nuclear Energy (PIC) in Ishwardi, with selected university students invited to participate.

Participants will have 24 hours to answer 18 questions across three categories — History, Today’s Technology, and The Future. Registration opens on November 10 at quiz.atomforyou.com, where users can also access practice tests to prepare.

Rosatom will announce the list of winners by November 22. A total of 100 winners will receive exclusive prizes, while three top scorers will win the grand prize — a trip to Russia. Every participant will be awarded an electronic certificate of participation.

Launched in 2020, the Global Atomic Quiz has attracted over 65,000 participants from more than 100 countries. Designed to promote awareness of peaceful nuclear energy, the initiative blends science education with public outreach — showcasing how nuclear technologies contribute to modern life and environmental sustainability.

Rosatom’s international network of 25 Information Centers for Atomic Energy, located across Russia and abroad, continues to play a key role in expanding public understanding of atomic science and its global potential.
