Unilever Bangladesh has issued an official statement in response to a recent report published by Bangla Outlook concerning an alleged incident involving one of its top officials at an external event.

The Bangla Outlook article, titled “Grievance filed against Unilever official over alleged misconduct at Dhaka event,” reported that a complaint had been raised regarding an interaction at a recent program in Dhaka. 

In reaction to the report, Unilever Bangladesh acknowledged awareness of the concern and confirmed that the issue is currently being reviewed internally.

The company emphasized that it treats matters related to professional conduct with seriousness and has referred the issue to relevant internal teams. 

According to the statement, the review process is being conducted in line with global company policies.

The concern has been formally referred to the relevant teams and is currently under review in line with company policies that are applied consistently across Unilever globally,” the statement added.

Unilever Bangladesh declined to provide further details, citing the sensitivity of the matter.

“As this involves a people-related matter, it would not be appropriate to comment further while the review is ongoing.”

The company reiterated its commitment to workplace values and professional standards, stating that it aims to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment both internally and at events where it is represented.
