Paul McCartney to unpack his most personal album yet in exclusive London event

Paul McCartney is inviting fans behind the curtain of his deeply personal new album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane, with a special one-night event at London’s Roundhouse on 10 June.

The music icon will take to the stage for an intimate evening of conversation and storytelling, offering audiences a rare glimpse into the creative journey behind what many critics are calling his most revealing solo work to date.

The event will trace the album’s development from McCartney’s first meeting with producer Andrew Watt in 2021 through songwriting sessions, recording, artwork creation, and the record’s release on 29 May.

Fans can also expect firsthand accounts of key moments from the project, including McCartney’s collaboration and vocal duets with longtime friend and former Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr.

New music from the album will be played throughout the evening, woven into stories that chart the evolution of the record.

Tickets for the Roundhouse event went on sale on 3 June, with demand expected to be high following the enthusiastic reception to the album worldwide.

Released after more than five years without a new solo studio album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane has quickly earned critical acclaim and a passionate response from fans.

Ahead of its launch, McCartney hosted exclusive listening sessions in Los Angeles and London, giving select audiences an early preview of the record.

The album marks a strikingly introspective chapter in McCartney’s career. Through a collection of personal memories, previously untold stories, and newly written songs, the former Beatle revisits his childhood in post-war Liverpool and the formative experiences that shaped one of the most influential musicians in modern history.

From reflections on his parents’ resilience to memories of his early friendship with John Lennon and George Harrison long before Beatlemania swept the globe, the record explores the years before global fame arrived.

For fans, the Roundhouse event promises something even rarer than a concert: a chance to hear McCartney tell the story behind the story.
