KNF robs over 15.9 Million Taka and Arms from Sonali Bank in Bandarban

The Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) robbed the Sonali Bank in Ruma, Bandarban, looting 15.9 million taka from the vault during a heist. During the incident, the terrorists also snatched weapons from the bank's manager, 10 police officers, and 4 members of the Ansar stationed for security. The event took place around 8:30 PM on Tuesday (April 2nd).
According to police and locals, over a hundred armed terrorists of the KNF, a militant group in the hills, arrived around 8:30 PM, surrounded the mosque and bank in the bazaar, and held everyone hostage. They then robbed 15.9 million taka along with 10 firearms from the duty police and 4 weapons from the Ansar force from the bank's vault. During this time, they also kidnapped the manager of the Ruma Sonali Bank. The area has been tense since the incident.
Confirming the authenticity of the incident, the Acting Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ruma Upazila, Didarul, stated that over a hundred members of the KNF surrounded the market's mosque and bank, looted the bank, stole 14 firearms from the police and Ansar members, and kidnapped the manager of the Sonali Bank.
