Training Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing in Narail's Rice Field

An Air Force training aircraft made an emergency landing in a rice field in Narail. The incident occurred at 2:41 PM on Wednesday (3rd April) in the Taraashi Bil rice field of Maijpara Union in Narail Sadar Upazila.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Service and Civil Defense and police rushed to the scene. The two Air Force aviators on board, Squadron Leaders Nadim and Mahfuz, were unharmed and have been taken to the Air Force's Bir Sreshtho Matiur Rahman Base in Jessore.
The aircraft was forced to land due to a mechanical failure, but it did not sustain significant damage, according to the Narail Fire Service.
The training aircraft had taken off from Jessore Airport at approximately 1:34 PM. Locals reported seeing the aircraft flying over Taraashi Bil around 2:41 PM before it began to descend suddenly and eventually landed in the rice field, causing panic among farmers and villagers. Police and the fire service arrived at the scene following reports, and a crowd of curious onlookers gathered.
Eyewitness Hedayet Hossain reported that two individuals emerged unscathed from the aircraft after it landed. A helicopter from the Air Force arrived shortly after to assist at the scene.
Air Force officials on the helicopter did not comment on the situation. Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the malfunction.
Inspector (Investigation) Sajedul Islam of Narail Sadar Police Station stated that the police responded promptly to the incident, confirming that there were no casualties. Squadron Leaders Mahfuz and Nadim were transported to Jessore, and additional police forces have been deployed at the site.
